Is Your Business Legal?

This is a question that you should ask before starting a project. Do not rely on the obvious answers, do some research and find out the laws of your country before setting off on a business cruise. For example, if you are selling electricity generation units and your government has not privatized that service. You can get in the troubled waters for making illegal attempts.

There can be many hidden laws about the legality of a business. If you are ever in doubt, ask around and do some research. There may be some parts of your business that may not comply with the legal requirements of your government. If you are caught unaware, it will not help you at all.

The ignorance of the law is not an excuse in the court of law!

How to stay out of Trouble:

Many people think that doing illegal business will help you make a lot of profit. It is not true. The illegal shortcuts may seem a very easy and quick way to big profits. In reality, the amount of work you have to do to keep away from legal accountability is often more taxing and stressful than owning a lawful business.

The people who are doing lawful business always have relatively more peace of mind than those who don’t. It is much easier to find a tax agent in Dubai than tax evasion, and it is more convenient to find an accounting firm in Abu Dhabi than running all over the UAE, after financial embezzlement.

The work and money that you are going to put in to escape the persecution of law are usually more costly than having an honest business. Pay your taxes on time and stay aware of the trade laws in your country.

Conclusion:

Laws can be tricky, and all laws may not seem fair at first glance. As a citizen of your country, you need to respect the trade laws and stay aware at all times. The ignorance of the law is never an acceptable excuse. If you feel that a certain law violates your rights, you can go to the justice system and appeal to talk to your government to make changes or alterations in your favour. Maintain the legal status of your business at all times; people will lose faith in your business if you are marked as an illegal business by your government.
